Step 1. Make a Bucket List

Step 1. Make a Bucket List

In my previous post, I talked about producing a song, writing a screenplay, making a cartoon/animated short and acting/voice acting, albeit in a more poetic fashion. Looking at this list, I don't think it even begins to describe the different ambitions that my brain can come up with. Many of those "dreams" are just that, dreams. They are fleeting ideas with a lack of commitment. Without commitment, it's not so bad, right...?

And that's where old me is wrong and new me wants to change. My path to <10> is a fulfilling risk-filled but rewarding life of wn design rather than molded from safety. What is overwhelming about the whole goal-setting process is that the goals I have set are so large in scope and not very actionable. But for now, at least at a high level let's set those overarching goals, let's set the "requirements" of my l life so we can then break down my goals into actionable steps. Note this blog post will be shorter and only highlight my goals but will act as a hub for future posts that relate to each bucket list item. The items on my bucket list aren't ordered by any particular priority and are honestly what comes to mind first as I write this.

  • [ ] Produce a Song
  • [ ] Write a novel/serial story
  • [ ] Learn to digitally paint/illustrate
  • [ ] Create a webtoon/comic
  • [ ] Start a career in voice acting focusing on video games and cartoons
  • [ ] Write and produce a short animated film
  • [ ] Create a successful youtube channel
  • [ ] Start my own business
  • [ ] Create my own Tabletop roleplaying game system
  • [ ] Make a career out of storytelling
  • [ ] Produce and release my own video game
  • [ ] Learn to ride a motorcycle

On its own, I don't think making a bucket list for me is very useful but that's where this blog and you come in. For me, I will attempt to use this ecosystem to hold myself accountable. For my path to <10>, like my software engineering training has taught me, figuring out my life's requirements seems like a good first step.

This post will be maintained as I progress toward my goals/bucket list items. I think I may transfer the contents of this post to its page eventually but I will let you know.

Otherwise, that is all for today - the process which I took to make my bucket list was just to follow the ideas in my brain that seem like they will bring me the most fulfillment. The hard part will be sticking to it, wish me luck.
